Anyone working this weekend?

I'm working today and tomarrow. Anyone else have to work this Holiday weekend besides me?

I don't really mind working, more money for project Chevelle Juvination 2010.

I wasn't going to but I figured what the heck.My weekend was ruined yesterday anyways.I'm locking up soon.

I got the weekend off, but may have to head out of town on Tuesday afternoon. Waiting for a call so it looks like next week will be a long week with monday off. Hey I finallly made it to 300 post. Hey

I worked this morning. I have been helping out at other locations that needed help training. My boss came in and wanted to sit down and talk to me. After 1/2 hour he asked if I was still on their clock. I said yes, he said "you are skewing their average labor grid, get off their clock". Then proceeded to talk to me for another 1/2. He asked me if I punched out, I said yes, he said I am not paying you for this hour. I said, oh yes you are, so I am just going to submit it under marketing. He will not like that, oh well. I will get paid for my time. Sometimes we gotta put our foot down. Sometimes I think to myself, fire me, just fire me.... It just won't happen...

Did the walk around with the push mower, all the spots you can't get into with the riding mower. Then I did a frame-off of the zero turn. Seriously I stripped it down, cleaned the engine, pulled the mower deck and scraped all the dried grass off. Looks like new, should be good for another month or two.

The grass has been growing so much the last month, lots of rain, warm temps, can't keep up with it. Cut it twice a week and the grass is still wet in the afternoon, the mower was just caked with dried grass underneath.

That was my excitement for the day. Oh, then cooked some chicken on the grill, boy was that tasty.

I don't know if it is working but here is what is planned for the weekend.

Today we went to a greenhouse to buy plants for our daughters grave, and some others for around the house. Worked up a spot in my field to plant a half acre of sweetcorn. Pool time

Tomorrow, till the small garden, plant green beans, and misc. other stuff. Get the greenhouse tomatoes planted (maybe) try to sneak in a bonfire tomorrow night. Pool time and a little captain and coke

I worked on my Nomad yesterday. I took a couple of friends for a spin Friday. Hit 2nd gear real hard. It didn't feel right. Felt like I missed a gear, but it didn't. I have never liked the shifter that's in it. It's a new Hurst Comp Plus, but it isn't built like the old ones. I bought a brand new one that was built in 81 from a TC guy. So I swapped the shifter and linkage out. The shifter feels 100 times better, but there is something not quite right with the M22. It's almost like it doesn't come completely out of gear everytime. I can hear a slight grinding sometimes, especially when I downshift. The trans was supposed to be a new build when I installed it, but I've always had doubts. Now I'm thinking about the new Auto-Gear M22. Looks like I'll have to shorten the driveshaft, other than that, looks like a "bolt-in". HA_HA, yeah right!!! Bolt-in!!!!

Think those 7 grand hole shots have anything to do with it?

Talk to Ric, he knows all about bolt-ins. Take a saws-all to the floor pan, then it bolts right in.

I just got back from doing a couple more of em Hank. It feels pretty good, didn't hear any strange noises. Mabey it was all in my head? I have the boot off so there is a lot of noise coming in the car that I don't hear normally. What the hell, I'm just gonna drive the snot out of it.
Bolt-ins have NEVER been bolt-ins for me. I was hoping that Rics would be, for his sake.

PS...There a 2 real long sets of black marks down the driveway now. One of them comes REAL close to the front of the shop!
