I enjoy a good sunset, star gazing and love a good thunderstorm with a good amount of lightning.
Last year when I was in Italy, I saw probably the Most exciting lightning storm.
It lasted for over an hour and shook our 20 story hotel.
I was on the 14th floor and from my window it was Awesome!!!!
Giant sheets of lightning that traveled across the sky and never touched the ground in all forms of blue, blue gray and silver.
Thunder that was so loud it hurt the ears from inside my room.

Simple things, yes, but awesome to say the least.

I enjoy watching outside too. In the past few weeks it has been REALLY HOT all day, like better than 95 degrees with 80% plus humidity. That puts the heat index well over 100. It goes down to around 80 at night. Almost every afternoon around 4 or so, giant, scary purplish gray clouds move in and drop a violent thunderstorm with hard rain, then about an hour later, it is hot and steamy everywhere, and everything is dried up. A few times, we've noticed that it is either raining and sunny at the same time or it is raining in the back yard, and sunny in the front yard.

DTE is the electric company here in the metro Detroit area.

We did not have the damage where I live, we were north of the worst damage. One of my co-workers had the wind blowing her tree limbs parallel to the ground, her windows were rattling and she said she thought that a tornado was coming cause the wind was so loud. Her daughter, who lives just south of her, spent a few hours in the basement. The tornado sirens were going off for 2 hours and she was not taking a chance. No one was hurt, and that is the most important thing.

This is saturday morning. Here in Minnesota. June 26. Talk about a show . Yesterday Mother nature put on another show for us. Had the neighborhood out there watching! Clouds going one way others going the other way! Rain came down so hard. Streets were flooded in no time. Thunder & Lighting shooting across the sky. Really! I've had my fill of that stuff now. Seems like once a week. She has to wash everything in sight. Haven't had the Chevelle out in a week! More storms coming this afternoon.
