Default We all have to count our blessings....

The local news was on this morning talking about a child who has seizures in her sleep and stops breathing. The family was holding a garage sale to help raise money to get a special dog that would be able to alert the family in case the little girl did stop breathing. This garage sale happened to be near where we live, so we decided to go and make a donation. We took our kids and donated what we had in our wallets. As we were leaving, my son who is 11, said he wanted to put all his money into the donation bin. It is times like this, that make me so proud of my kids.

Everyday I count my blessings. I have 6 happy, healthy children and a loving husband. What more do I need?

Thank you for listening to me today.
I posted a link to the story in case anyone wanted to read about this little girl.

Just found out that this family exceeded their goal to be able to purchase the dog needed for this little girl. They needed $13,000 to be able to purchase the dog, but they have already raised over $25,000. The mother has stated that she will donate anything that is left over from purchasing their dog, so that another family in a similar situation, can purchase a dog for their child.

Great story, thanks for sharing.
I agree we all have a lot to be thankful for, and I do count my blessing everyday and have 3 great kids and a wife who keeps keeps me inline everyday. I wouldn't trade her for anything.

I think it was nice that the news actually reported on something positive, instead of all the negative. The garage sale was to go on all weekend. I hope they continue to bring in donations, and that the news channels will cover it, even if it is a small spot, all weekend.
