Sorry it took so long, I couldnt bring my laptop along with me in my luggage.

Well the ride is done. I made it and as of right now I am 100% drained. Saturday we had 21 mph winds out of the north and the ride went pretty much straight north. So it became a battle of determination more than anything else. A huge number of riders had to be brought back, they just couldnt do it, and I dont blame them a bit. As I was at the last rest stop refilling my drinks, one of the support vehicles pulled up real fast and yelled "Dr. xxxxxxxx (I didnt catch the name) get in now, we have a heart attack or stroke in progress at stop 5!!" The guy grabbed his bag and was off. I never did hear the results of what happened, but I hope the rider was ok. It was just such an extremely hard effort to get through that wind, I am really suprised if that was the only one.

Today it was pretty tough early on to get the legs working, and I rode pretty conservatively for the first 35 or so miles into the wind again, but after 35 my legs were back and I upped the pace to more of a race pace, which was fun.

Overall, excellent experience, hands down the best run charity event I have ever been involved with and will without doubt do it again.

Thanks everyone for all the support and donations, it means more to me than I could ever express over the internet. When my phone re-charges (music was on all day) I will post up a few pictures from the experience.
