Just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a safe and happy Labor Day.

What are your plans for today?

I am getting ready to start the smoker. I am making Chicken and Brisket on the smoker. We will be having a bunch of people over today, we will be having, The smoked Chicken and Brisket as well as Beef Tenderloin Ka-bobs, Chicken Chili, Potato salad, home made corn salsa, baked potatoes, and lots more.
What are you doing ? I will try to remember to take some pics and post them today.

Im hungry after reading Ms Grumpys post ,hope you had fun. I cut several dead trees down for fire wood today .Now I need to get them cut up ,split and hauled home from the woods.

We had a great weekend too and the weather was perfect. I'm kind of depressed now,as this was the last summer holiday.I love summer,and this was the best in years but it goes so darn fast.

I had a great day, soooooooo much food ! Was nice to see family and friends. Now it's time to get ready for school to start tomorrow for the kids.

We went to our friends house for a bbq today. I got to cook..at least the meat. I've never had potato salad with marinated olive salad in it before, or green bean casserole with artichoke hearts either. Those were flavors I'd never really put together, unless I was trying to make someone ill.

Had to teach all day today at University of Portland, no day off. All in all had a good day. Hope everyone had a great day.
