Default I survived today

Went white water rafting with my son and son inlaw. Everything went fine until we hit box car canyon. The raft went through a drop off and folded in half sending everyone up front to the back and landing on top of me and into the water. I'm now on the bottom of the pile under water and can't find which way is up. Finally got out of the under toe and surfaced to find myself being beat up on the rock for the next quarter mile until I can get out of the rapids. To say the least I bang up and very sore, but no broken bones. Well that was fun !!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure I will be moving a lot slower the next few days. And yes I had on safety equipment. All and all I had a good time being with my two sons. Just glad I'm around still, thank you Lord.

Ray

Everyone is ok, just a litle sore this morning. My daughter and son inlaw caught a flight back to Florida at midnight so they both had a long day yesterday. They just landed in Orlando at 11 am their time this morning.

You're a brave man Ray. I remember a friend at work telling me about white water rafting, said it was the dumbest thing he ever did. My nephew fractured his kneecap on a rock while rafting.

Glad you're ok and had a good time with your sons.

Now it will be 6 months of recovery, til the son-in-law comes back, and you act like a teenager again.

I used to love rafting ,just too old to recover anymore .Or maybe now its just that I am sober as I used to have a quart bottle of Crown Royal during my float down .
