WOW that is a nice collection of American iron overseas! My ties with Germany were cut when my grandfather and his brother passed away. They were the only ones who knew what area my family originated from and where to find my relatives that are still over there. I bet the gasoline alone costs a small fortune. Someone I spoke to a few years ago wa telling me how much it cost at the time and I think it worked out to somewhere around $26-$32 a gallon in US currency. I'm not sure what it would cost these days.

Welcome Arno. One man's junk is another man's treasure. To me, it looks like you have a few treasures. And there is nothing wrong with that !

Hi,
1 Liter Gasoline cost today 1.44 Euros -should be 1.85 $,so the gallon (x3.7) is about 6.85 $.
Thats way too much for everyday driving a V8.
Instead I have a 1971 Mercedes with the 3.0 Liter Diesel engine for econo driving (still takes 10 liters/100 Km when you step in it,and thats what you have to do with the mere 80 horses the engine had...)

About 20 years ago,I had all kinds of V8 daily drivers, had no family /no bills to pay. Now the V8 cars are for fun use only, but I like them over all other cars I have

That isn't as bad as other people made it sound to me but I can understand why you would not want to drive something like that every day. Have you thought about running a bio diesel?
