Cold front moved in over the weekend, only got in to the lower 70's. Low's in the 50's, back up to around 80 today. No rain, lot's of sun, nice breezes. We were really hoping for some nice weather but I guess we'll just have to suffer with this. Almost makes me wish I was back in MI, almost!

Hope you're all doing well.

Well it's time to pack up for the journey home. Not looking forward to the MI weather but it'll be good to be home. It's actually too hot here for me this week. Humidity went up last Friday and the temps have been around 90 which are record temps for this time of year.

We'll hit the road tomorrow morning and should be home on Monday. Don't know if I'll have a chance to check in until we get back so you all take care and have a good weekend.

You aren't heading west on I-10, then north up 55 through TN, are you?

That wasn't in plan Jake. Up through Georgia then pick up 77 north through the Carolina's and WV.

Why do you ask Jake?

You'd be real close to my place if you went that way, that's all. Drive safe bud.

Well thanks Jake. Next time we head out it will just be Lynda and I. It's hard, well not that way I would like, when traveling with someone else. We've been talking about the Texas gulf coast, South Padre Island, etc. That would be close to you I guess. Won't be for awhile though, have to figure out if we can afford to drive the motorhome to the end of the driveway. Also have to figure out how to pay for this trip. This MH can go through some gas, damn Chevy big blocks! Actually it's pretty nice. It's mine, it's my bed, my sheets, my pillow, well you get the idea. You can feel comfortable, I'm never comfortable in a hotel room. If and when we head your way I'll let you know, would really like to meet you in person.

Well we made it. Got home around 2:30 - 3:00. Been out to the motorhome a dozen times since then, need this, need that, etc.

Not too bad a trip. Very windy in Georgia and SC on Saturday, gusts over 30 mph. What a chore trying to drive in that. Made it to Fort Mill, SC, just south of Charlotte. Sunday was good, drove to outside Columbus, OH.

First problem was this morning. Didn't get 1/2 mile out of the park when my uncle called. Check engine light on and temp gauge pecked. Pulled into gas station and threw a gallon of 50/50 antifreeze, a gallon of regular antifreeze and a gallon of water. Drove to just south of Toledo/Bowling Green, OH and added another gallon of antifreeze and a gallon of water. No obvious leaks so it's a mystery where it's going. Probably a small leak when the engine is rev'ing and hot. He made it home from there with no problems. We'll look at it later.

Glad to be home, weather sucks but it's still nice to be home. Hope everyone else is doing well.
