Hey Guys,
I'm buying a car from another state and I'm having it shipped to my house. What would be the best way to perform this transaction? Should I do a electronic transfer into the sellers account? The shipping co. I might be using is located close to where the seller lives, so he would be able to drop the car off. What are your thoughts?

Last car I purchased out of state I did an electronic transfer, but the seller sent me a copy of the current title and registration and a bill of sale for the car so I had all the info on the car. I know some states don't have titles on some cars after a certain year. Just make sure if there is a problem you can challenge the transfer with your bank before you give them any money, so you can get your money back.

Thanks Ray for posting.
I'm waiting for the guy to have his bank send the wiring instructions to my credit union hopefully on Monday. I'll do a wire transfer hopefully this week and get the ball rolling. I don't have the time to fly out to NJ and look at the car, but I've seen plenty of pics and talked to the guy a few times. He said its been featured in a couple magazines. I'm hoping thats a good sign that its very nice!

Okay, so what is it? You going to make us wait to find out what you're buying? If it's from NJ I and been in a few magazines I don't think it's a daily driver.
