Got home yesterday, nice vacation. Didn't do a damn thing, just relaxed.

Cut the grass this morning, very muggy. Had a brief down pour and some lightening. It passed over, sun came out and the power went out! We've lost power about a half dozen times this year. A couple times a year is one thing but this is getting ridiculous. Feeding that generator gas at $3.75 a gallon is not cheap. I just bought 10 gallons this morning to cut the grass and now I have 5 gallons left.

Glad to here you made it home. We can't even hit 80 around here. In fact we may set a record for no 90° days this summer. We only made it to 86° one day so far this summer.

Oh...it was nice and cool here when we got home from the Ohio Show. We drove thru some major downfalls, but when we got home it was cooler, just a little muggy.

Hit 96 here today, first time we have gone above 90 this year. Our average has been 78 all summer. I was at the beach today and it was 76 and clear skies, which made it hard to do any roofing in the direct sun.

Summer has been around here for the last 3 weeks. Been running in the high 90's and the fire danger is extremly high with all the tall grasses after having so much rain for most of the summer. We have at least have 5 major wild fires burning right now.

Ray, my son lives in Texas and he is not too far from some of the wildfires there. I hope that it cools down for you and that you don't have any of the problems with wildfires.
