Secret Santa 2012...anyone interested ?
Last year we did a Secret Santa on Chevelleforum and it was pretty cool. I will tell you that my Secret Santa got me a really cool drawing of my car. So I figured I would see if anyone is up for doing it again this year. Last year I also asked if anyone would like to participate in a holiday list. What you would do is send me, by PM, your address so that other members, if they choose, can send out holiday cards. Now the "Secret Santa" and the "Holiday List" are two different things. If you want to participate in both just make sure that you put "Secret Santa and Holiday List" in your PM to me.
I am making this the official sign-up thread for the Second Chevelleforum Secret Santa and Holiday List. You sign up for either of these, by posting to THIS THREAD ONLY. This thread will remain open until November 28st, at 9 pm, EST. After posting to this thread, please send me a PM, with the words SECRET SANTA, HOLIDAY LIST or SECRET SANTA AND HOLIDAY LIST as the subject, containing your actual name and mailing address and your Chevelleforum username, to Ms Grumpy. After the thread closes, I will send everyone the name and address of their intended recipient. Or if you choose the Holiday List only, I will send you all of the names that I have had PM's to me. The limit this year is $25, not including shipping. Please allow enough time for your gift to reach its destination by December 18th. Remember that your Secret Santa gift may have to travel to another country. Gifts may be auto-related, but need not be so. Half the fun is reading the posts of your recipient, and picking out something special for them. I look forward to hearing from everyone. Anyone else wanna be in on the Secret Santa? I will tell you that sometimes I have gotten a person who I don't even have to go out a purchase a gift for. Sometimes you get a person who would love something that you already have and may not be using. It might be a car part that you have sitting in your garage, maybe a sign that you have that is really cool or maybe something that is homemade. Last year I talked a lot about getting a smoker and my Secret Santa on Audiokarma sent me some rub that he made himself along with a few store bought spices that were only available in his area. I love that, and to this day I wish I knew who it was so I could have him send me more.
So please consider getting in on this, it is so much fun to hear what people got. And to figure out who the smart a$$ was that sent it to them.  Remember we do this just for fun. So come on and lets see all the creative gifts that people receive. Only a couple more days til the fun begins.
