You're right when you say the law usually favors the tenant. A co-worker walked away from a very nice house, let the bank take it. After several tenants destroying the place and non-payment it got to the point it wasn't worth it. He had a management company too but it didn't help. Landlords have some rights but they are limited and can take an ungodly amount of time to enforce them. Long enough that you can be left with something worthless and haven't even been able to collect the rent to recover some of your loses. The laws vary from state to state but usually don't favor the landlord.

The people there now say to drop by anytime I wish as they know firsthand what Ive had to deal with. I actually took off yesterday after work to mow my own yard and chop up some leaves .It was kind of strange being home instead of at the rental house .I took a dishwasher up today and left it on the back porch covered with a tarp and then went home for some supper and then played in the shop for a while .Things will be back to normal (as normal as I get ) very soon and I can play in the shop more often. The boys cant wait til we have more time to play with the cars and Im very much looking forward to it as well.
