Had a busy day today. I was 50 miles from home at 5pm with grumpy. He knew I wanted to go to a local cruise tonight, but he wanted to go to his friends today. I got his behind in gear and started loading the truck with his guns ( grumpy is into air rifles and was at a friends house with a bunch of guys shooting). I made it back home by 6:15 and was in my car by 6:20 (he can unload the van).
Made it to a local cruise by 6:45, and when I pulled in I was waved over by one of my friends who had saved me a spot in a shaded area. How cool. Went inside the coney and ate. And by that time they were calling ticket numbers and my son Jacob, who has become my cruising buddy, had won a $15 gift certificate to the coney. Guess where we will be next weekend. Good friends, good food, I will be back. We then headed out to Woodward to see what was happening. The Shell at Normandy was full, of course. Across the street the parking lot was full too. Many cars were lining the road in front of the closed businesses. And of course all the ice cream places had full parking lots. We cruised Woodward for about an hour checking out the cars. It seems so wierd that the WWDC is still a month away, I can't wait for the next few weeks to see how busy it gets.
