I agree Bdubya, but where do I draw the line on what to spend on a concert ticket. And with that in mind, how do I make this fair to the other two teenage kids at home. I asked my older daughters how they got their tickets to all the concert they went to when they lived here. My daughter Lacie suggested that I use Stubhub.com and tickettriangle. Lacie used these sites when the concerts were getting close, she said a lot of people bought tickets but may not be able to go and they use these sites to sell their tickets.

Hey! I grew up in the '80's. "Bad Reputation" and "I Love Rock N' Roll" were always blasting on my Sparkomatic tape deck!

My last concert was free tickets won in a radio contest. The headliner was Seether, and openers were Lacuna Coil, Drowning Pool, Hell Yeah, and Five Finger Death Punch.

Awesome show!

Before that, was "Jackyl" at the Surf Ballroom (the last place Buddy Holly played before the plane crash) which was $18.00, and I was able to lean on the stage... and needed to, because I couldn't stand up real well.

That was the best show I've ever seen. I'm a big fan of Jesse James Dupree...

About 8 years ago there was a car dealership on Woodward that had a radio station setting up before the Woodward Dream Cruise. The radio station was doing a ticket give away for the first "Classic" car to pull into the lot and tell them they heard it on the radio. I happened to be working right across the street, and had driven my car to work, and...had that radio station on the radio.

So I drove across the street and won 4 tickets to see B.B. King at DTE Music Theater, an outdoor venue. Now, grumpy is a HUGE blues fan and he was really excited, especially when I told him we could take a couple of friends. That concert was a blast. We actually sat up on the hill and watched many woman, in their high heals, try to maneuver walking (or should I say falling) up and down the hill. I think the guys enjoyed that show more than the music. I liked it cause the only thing it cost me was the price of parking.
