Default Camaro abused by best dealer in Easley, SC (caught on voice recorder!)

So did you guys hear about this one ? I actually listened to/saw the video of this on the news this morning. I just tried to find a link to the audio/video
of this story and I kept finding "this video has been removed by the user".

So the story, as I recall, is that the owner of a newer Camaro needed to take his car in for some kind of service. But for whatever reason, he was suspicious of the car dealership, so he installed an audio recording device somewhere in his car. The audio, which was kinda bad, still had some audible words of the repairmen talking about what they did to this guys car. They talked about the manual transmission possibly needing to be replaced because one of the repairmen had taken the car out and beat on it, possibly doing damage to the transmission. They were laughing about how the owner was going to have to pay for it.

Once the owner got his car back, not sure if he had the transmission done, he listened to the tape. Then he called the dealership and got nowhere. So being as mad as he was, he put it up on the web, and it got the news media's attention.

I put this link up because there were some responses to what people had heard, and what they thought about the video. If I can find one that is actually working, I will post it.

Makes you think twice about taking your car into the dealership, doesn't it ?

They had it on the news. Was pretty hard to understand but should get somebody's attention.

I read about it also. Fried the guys clutch and they were going to try to get the owner to pay for it. Busted big time. I see the dealership has purchased the Camaro.

There are NO words to convey how pissed I'd be. I run a hotrod shop and don't even beat on customer's cars. You do NOT need to beat on something to test drive it! No matter what the problem is! That is nothing but unprofessional and irresponsible. I hope they shut the dealership down and charge the "technician" with vandalism. Yeah, ...I feel THAT strongly about it.

I once stopped by a small shop to ask about some sort of repair that was needed on one of my cars and saw one of the employees burning out in a customers T/A right in front of their shop and I didnt even bother asking them about my repair after that as I knew I didnt want them working on anything of mine .I just turned and walked out with another guy following me out asking what I needed . I just told him I didnt need them working my car like that one.
