Just finished up a restoration of a 1970 Chevelle L78. It is 1 of the currently 20 in the L78 Registry. Purchased the car a year ago because it had the original buildsheet but it needed alot of work. Getting it back to original has been a very expensive project. Won't do it again.

Because this car has a TH400 transmission it going to be a car that my wife can drive to the local cruise-ins. She helped to pay for the parts. I have other cars that I prefer to drive.

Welcome. Don't sound like you are a big fan of your 70.

Thumbs up

Beautiful and rare car, well worth every penny IMHO. I'm sure your wife will enjoy it.

I like the car now that it is 98% finished. It was just a pain getting it back to the original condition. I would just get frustrated with the build and at times just wish I could drop in a ZZ572. Back in the 70s I had three 1970 Chevelles; 2 coupes, and a El Camino.
