Well where do I start ? Gary, we like your rants. Many of you know why this site was started and I just wanted it to be a place where everyone felt welcome. From the "do it by the book" members, to those who are trying things outside of the box. I wanted this site to be something where everyone feels welcome no matter what you drive.

Yes, the name of the site is Chevelleforums, but that is only because I needed to find a name where people would go and help answer questions on Chevelles, Malibus, El Caminos and hopefully other cars. If I had named it Womanaskscarquestions, no one would have ever come here.

I have had people tell me that this site is small, well maybe it is, but we have to start somewhere. We are growing, and with the great core of people that are here, I think we have one of the best places to be.

Sorry for my rant, this is Gary's thread.

Nancy, this is your site and you can do or say anything in anyones thread.Quite different from the communist actions of the other place.Really don't miss it but it just bothers me that as large as it is,a chosen few control it.One of the mods was on me from day one,and never let up.Jealous of my popularity so quickly, probably.I am not on an ego trip, but am at the center of attention as was pointed out by this moderator,at my workplace and just reflects on my posts and general attitude. But guess what? I get along with 200 employees of the dealership and everyone from the techs to the office crew would do anything for me.Respect is earned, not appointed.Team Chevelle will get along without me and will continue to shrink in active members once the newbies see it is becoming a good ole boys club, with moderators who will silence anyone who does not fit the mold and will not walk in lockstep looking for their approval.

Can't we just all get along ?

I'm sitting here on the phone wondering what went wrong with the other forum.

Ric, the pic really wasn't necessary. Some things, once seen, can't be unseen.

I'm sorry my lifestyle does not meet your high society lifestyle....I'm comforable with who I am..... and it gets cold in the Winter out there.

And Gary, as you can see I'm on the phone trying to get the issues resolved....maybe I should not be drinking.

High society lifestyle, me? Not hardly. Still taking a crap on the front porch just doesn't seem right. Now if I'm wrong and that's your back porch, then I apologize.

Also, I hope you're not on video chat with that other place. Some of them are rather snooty and may not take you too seriously.

That is what you think is wrong is what porch I'm sitting on.....I'm more concerned with my farmers tan.

Oh yeah, that is my front porch that over looks the common area of the park. I guess I should have some toilet paper close by so it does not look weird.

I am embarrassed to say, I kinda liked the pic. lol.

I can understand what is happening with the other site. I have had "growing pains" with one of our other sites. Many time members would think that they had the best ideas, not that they were not good, but they go about things the wrong way. grumpy and I know that our sites are only as good as the people on them, and that is why we will ask the members before any major change is made.

We have lost good people along the way, but we will never accept it when members take it out on other members. As Gary said, "Respect is earned, not appointed". Yes we have moderators, and yes we trust these members to make decisions when it comes to matters on this site. But I will always be here to make sure that if there is a problem that it is fairly taken care of. And I hope that everyone knows that if there is a problem with a member that they can contact me via PM and I will do my best to solve the problem in a timely manner and discretely.
