I read an article yesterday that this is the worst flu season in many years. Pretty much everyone I know has had some sort of cold/flu recently.
Probably due to the crazy azz weather...68 degrees here now with a weekend forecast of low/mid 70's.
Weird...
I'm sure working long hours and probably having to run in and outside all day doen't help. Frequent exposure to the general public too.

I heard the Chicago area has been hit hard with the flu, like Bill said the crazy weather in your area. Been quiet around our area about the flu, not many at my work have been sick yet. I believe it is called stress, that will get you sick in no time.

I'm recovering from what I would say is the flu. Monday night and Tuesday were bad, but Wednesday I felt pretty good and today I'm back at work, but am taking it easy. They say that what doesn't kill you will make you stronger.

Gary...I'm sure other effected co-workers are usuing your phone, desk, keyboard, etc while you're away.
I'd recommend using Lysol aerosol and hand sanitizer often to keep from passing this crap back and forth all winter.

This is one of the worst flu seasons. Lynda had it several weeks ago. Spent 2 days in bed, well the bed and the bathroom. I heard, don't remember where, a hospital has set up triage tents in the parking lot because they have no room in the hospital for all the flu patients. Another is sending people home unless there symptoms are life threatening.

So far I've been spared but I rarely get the flu, last time was 5 or 6 years ago. Must be because I take care of myself, pot of coffee in the morning, plenty of cigarettes and lots of beer. Yup, I'm sure that's it. Lynda has one cup of coffee in the morning, doesn't smoke and may have a glass of wine once or twice a week. She's always got something wrong going on. That must be it, I'm going to keep taking care of myself even if she won't do the same.

Everyday this week I have had at least one child home from school. I have the air cleaners working double duty so that they hopefully take some of the germs out of the air. All of them have complained of having an upset stomach and feeling achy. I don't want this cold/flu but it is hard having kids in middle and high school. I have hand sanitizer in all the kids backpacks, do they use it, hellifiknow. But I tell them how important it is that they do, be sick, or use the sanitizer.

Gary, I do agree that you need to keep a can of Lysol near your desk. Or get some of the antibacterial wipes and use them when ever you can. I know that you have customers and that you don't want them to see you do it, but I am sure that they would understand if you did. Heck if it were me, I would appreciate the fact that you used them especially at this time of the year.

Hope you feel better grandsport.

It's pretty bad here also. we've been running a skeleton crew at the shop ever since the Holidays ended. The wife and I are the only one's not to get it yet but I'm sure it's just a matter of time. My 25 year old daughter has Cystic Fibrosis and finally went and got a flu shot after her mom and I nagged her for three weeks about it.

So Gary I hope you start feelin better, but by the time you do it will be all of our turn.
