I have installed one of those March serpentene systems on my 67 chevelle. The problem I am having is the power steering requires an external tank which I have never messed with. I will try and describe this as best I can. While standing in front of the chevelle and looking down at the power steering box. There are two lines one on the left and one on the right, which line should go to the power steering pump, I am unsure about what line goes where. I hope someone has installed one of these before, I hope someone will understand what I am talkin about.... I think it should be the high pressure line that goes to the pump, but I don't know which one it is.

I have a 68 with the separate res. pwr steering and from what I can see,if you are standing on the drivers side, the line on the left(closest to the front of the steering box)is your high pressure to the pump. The line on the right(toward the rear)is low pressure return to the pump.they should be two different sizes on the box.You should also have a large feed from the res. to the pump. Hope this helps

well I thought that was my answer. Now everytime I start the engine the fluid pushes out the vent hole on top of the tank. Have tried purging the air out but still nothing helps. Fluid in tank is full of air bubbles every time I open to check.

It takes a few days for the air to work out.
Best thing to do with a new PS system is to put the front of the car up on jack stands and with the engine OFF, work the steering full turns slowly lock to lock a few times. Then let it sit overnight if possible before starting it.
