Not today, but I recently acquired a brand new in the box comp cam's xe262h with almost new lifters for $80!! Going into a 305 topped with an Edelbrock performer rpm intake and cleaned up 601 heads. Should run nicely! (I hope!)

I took a ride down to see my local PPG distributor. Was able to find the correct SS wheel paint, it is a lacquer and has a little metallic + some suede additive. I also got a small order from Ground Up today... rear bumper, door handles, head light bezels. The new rear bumper on my car is weeping rust, the car has never been driven and mostly stored inside. The door handles, pitting and peeling even though they were purchased new as well. The head light bezels were off of a parts car, my originals were toast and someone had went all captain krylon on them. Although the bezels from the parts car were better, they are starting to peel and pit as well. I'll be saving the parts I just bought for when I strip the car down for a repaint and to refit the gaps better.

To the average person, I'm sure my car looks mostly "done." But I can pick it apart quick, lots of little things that bug me to no end.

Carpoor, we're all that way. I like to find original chrome or have the original stuff replated. Replacement parts are usually cheaply made then charge a premium to buy them. The math doesn't add up in my book.

I still have to get my car out of storage. Every time I want to make plans to pick it up, the weather man says rain, or snow, or sleet. I can't win for loosing. I am hoping that this week is going to cooperate with me. That, and I need to move the bench seat out of the back of the Astro out of the way in the garage.

I am getting so excited to wash my car. Never thought I would say that.

Seems about fitting... When the bolt sheered, broke or was ganked by the shock mount thieves, it allowed the LCA relocation bracket to shift and put the tire right on the exhaust pipe so yes, I will probably need a new tire. Thankfully, I think that might be the extent of the damage. The shock did some bouncing around and marred up the body a little but it appears to be okay.
