Default Finally, low gas prices in Brighton

We've lived here for 12 years, gas prices have always been higher here than surrounding cities. I never bought gas here when working, always got it on the way to or from work. Well Kroger opened a gas station here. Today their price is $3.11, $3.08 if you have a Kroger card and all the other stations are matching the $3.11 price. We shop at Kroger's so you earn points on what you spend. Last Friday I filled up the motorhome, used 300 points which is $.30 off a gallon, up to 35 gallons. Even with no points if you have a Kroger card you get the $.03 off the posted price.

About damn time, drive 10 miles and gas was always 10 to 15 cents less. Not worth driving to get the lower price and now we don't have to

Kroger runs the same promotion here in GA...usually cheaper or as cheap as stations in same vicinity. We usually get most of our fuel points by refilling prescriptions.
Reminds me...got 300 points to use by Thursday...

$3.10 a gallon in Orlando, $3.17 here in town. I fill up once a week while out there for physical therapy. Damn tourist state, we get punished with extra taxes.

Average around here is $3.24 this week
Was as low as $3.11 about 2 1/2 weeks ago...I think as a dense population, frequently poor air quality area, we're now running their so called "Winter mix".

Gas here is finally under $3.00 gal. Not by much tho, $2.99/9, LOL. Used my loyalty points card as they call them locally and had 25 cents off. Filled the tank at $2.74/9 and thought "what a deal". 'Course, I'm old enough to recall buying regualr leaded at .16/9 during a "gas war" in the 60's. Some youngsters may not really know what a "gas war" is, LOL.
