Thanks! I needed to swap the frames anyway and for the price I couldn't beat it.

Good eye my friend. The frame is from that 72 Olds cutlass I bought for parts. Do you know if that cross member will work for me? I know the chevelles have a more tubular cross member and I didn't think to take measurements or swap them out before I took it.

It was a beautiful day to take a vacation day from work. Got a few things done around the house and got some more work done on the car this afternoon.

Got the new trunk extension put on. Then put patch panel on the inner wheel well and then fitted the outer wheel well.

Ok good. I never even knew those were there till the other day when I was taking pictures of the frame before I loaded it up.




Well got the rear springs and steering shaft sand blasted painted this evening. Then my uncle came down and started fitting the quarter panel. My uncle has been a body man for the last 40 years and said this was one of the most frustrating ones he's done, which really surprised me cause everything I got was from AMD and it's supposed to be a GM restoration part and I expected it to fit better. He said we were gonna give it another try tomorrow evening.



Sorry I post so many pictures but I like to look back at them and see the progress I'm making and maybe it will help someone else going though this also.

No panels go on without a lot of work, I don't care who sells them. I faith you will get them figured out.

I know they are a ton of work even if you have factory panels none of them ever fall into place. I guess I just had high expectations for these panels. I'm sure we'll get it figured out too just need more time to massage it in place with a BFH, lol.

I wasn't really going for the factory look on mine but yours looks really good. What did you use to paint the ends of it. Are those pieces supposed to be zinc coated from the factory?

Mine is painted with cast gray paint on the ends. I did take mine completely apart and repack it with grease since it was done over 40 years ago.I also replaced the dryied out rubber boot. If you decided to do that read the instruction on how to do it first. It's not that simple as I found out. I know alot of people just paint them all black, but for me they just don't make the engine compartment look detailed out.
