So i pulled into the gas station because i didn't want to go below 1/4 tank. So he was looking around the car i told him the only way i was sell it is if he gave me $25k he was nip picking and i said hey my car is not for sale but if you throw me 25k its your as i was pumping my gas. he said can i see under the hood. I showed him under the hood got to the gas pump and he was like o man you need to clean this and that i will give you 12k i closed my hood, said hey thank you for looking, he said so we have a deal i said 25k yes as he was saying 12 i started the car. Then he said o wait i will give you 15. I said 25 he said no way so i said ok thanks for the time and i revved it up he said 18k i said 25 he said no way so i blasted out the gas station and left his jaw on the ground. It is one of the simple pleasures of owning them. Not being for sale.
I never understood people that worry about what they are worth.
I mean why would you sell one.
They are to expensive and rare to be just trading around Willy Nilly.
Not like when I was a kid. Buy em tear em up and get another one.

I told my wife when we met. The car is worth money. Hell will freeze over and I won't sell it. No matter what financial hardship comes it isn't there.

My buddy is a biker. His wife said she worried about him on the bike now that he getting older. Tried to make him sell it. He told her. "I had the bike before i met you. If you leave because of it. I will still have the bike after you are gone." Nothing was ever said again about the bike.

I guess we are kindred spirits on this count. I had a chevelle for my first car. And if I have my way this will be my last. I will give it to my son when it is my time. He can carry the torch a while.

I totally agree. I also told grumpy that it is my car, in my name alone, because no matter what...I will never sell my car. I have 6 children and so far 3 of them have asked if I am leaving it to them in my will. My son said the first thing he would do would be to do a burnout so I could smell the burning rubber in heaven.
