I chooot em out of the trees here with a slingshot. My dogs go nuts when I get the slingshot out. They know a warm meal is heading their way. I broke the rubber band on my Crossman, tried to buy a replacement. The cheap bastards are making them in China now. I refuse to buy one. I made one from medical tubing. It works OK, but not as good as the old American made stuff.

I don't shoot the squirrels, they stay out in the back of the yard and don't bother anything. It's the damn chipmunks I shoot. They're just rats with fluffy tails. They burrow under plants and kill them. Get in the shed and tear stuff up. Or just sit somewhere going chip-chip-chip, drives me nuts.

Anyway back to hotdog buns. They make the buns small so you feel like you're eating a foot long hotdog but you're not stuffing all that extra crap in your gut. Probably started in New York, bet they have a law that says buns can't be longer than 4".

Those chipmunks are pretty fast. When I open the garage window to take a shot, they haul ass. When it warms up, if it ever does, I can leave the window open and get em. There are more here than ever. They steal all the bird seed. Neighborhood is going to hell.

I called Sara Lee about those undersized buns. The lady said that Sara lee bought the rights to the Ballpark brand a couple of years ago. She "said" she checked with marketing and they said the buns are still the same size. I told her someone was a liar in the marketing dept. She sent me some 4 dollar coupons for my next purchase.

So I ordered a pair of Carolina work boots, made in USA, from Amazon. They arrived today. One is size 10.5, the other is a size 10. This will most likely get interesting when I call them. There isn't a store within 50 miles of me that sells the USA ones. I give up. I think I'll go chooot a squirrel. Axel looks hungry.

Wow ,I had no idea you could find boots made in USA . When I was 16 I worked in a shoe factory and we made some God awful ugly shoes along with some pretty decent tennis shoes .I was in the packing dept and when we needed sizes to fill an order but not the correct sizes we would take however many cases we needed and mark the sizes to what we needed .A size 9 might really be a size 10 ,just whatever we needed ,its no wonder that factory went to China doing stuff like that but they lasted 30 odd years in USA doing crap like that .We produced and shipped about 10,000 pair per shift ,thats a lot of screwed up orders .Now back to chooting sqirrels and chipmonks or coyotes ,groundhogs ,or whatever moves that aint Beef on my place .I dont do my own chooting here ,I have a critter killer that keeps me in deer meat but he loves to kill critters .

Some Danner boots are made here in Oregon. They have the goverment contract for Army boots, and they have to be made in the USA. I go down to the outlet store here and buy their leather boots for work. Lacross bought them out so more are made out of the USA now. mostly the ones on line.

Glad it won't be me answering that phone call. Looked at some Minnetonka moccasins the other day. Not one pair made in the US. Indian moccasins made in China?

Chipmonks at home usually sit there until I hit one. Then I won't see any for awhile. Our dog Annie use to like hunting chipmonks. She would tear down the fire wood pile to get at one. Those chipmonks are fast but she got lucky every now and then.
