Hey, I'm still alive...

... whether you guys like it or not. Last couple months have been hell. I got a sinus/bronchial infection the beginning of January. Finally got over that then got another one in February. Of course Lynda got one too and our son had a couple. Not sure where it started but it just kept getting passed around. I've been helping him with some remodel projects and I think it started with him. I haven't been sick in years, last damn time I stay here in the winter.

We were supposed to be in Fl Jan, Feb and March but decided to stay here and remodel the bathroom. Of course that hasn't moved along too quickly. I have made some progress, the shower is done. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

I have to go order a new window for the bathroom tomorrow. It's the only one we haven't replaced. I'm starting to feel normal again. The weather is nice. Think I'll head up to Guns Galore after I order the window and buy a pistol I'm interested in. Then head to the range and blow off a few hundred rounds. Tony's posts about walking out the door and shooting his guns are making me jealous.

I thought you were in Florida and that is why we have not heard from you. Too bad you did not even get to use your new Motorhome this year for the winter. Glad you are feeling better.

Let me know when you go to Guns Galore and we can meet there or we can go over to Williams in Davidson where they have a indoor range and larger showroom after there remodel http://www.williamsgunsight.com/. and maybe Tony can meet us there or we can stop over there. I still have to buy a new gun but not sure what to get and want to shoot some first.

We were supposed to go to Fl. We have a trip planned for this summer, Mt Rushmore and surrounding area then Yellowstone and maybe Yosemite. Wanted to get the bathroom remodeled and figured the winter months would be a good time. Don't want to be stuck in the house in the summer so we canceled our Fl trip.

40 acres John, now you and Tony are both making me jealous.

Ric, when can you go to Guns Galore or Williams? With this warm weather I was thinking of going to Island Lake range.

Ric, does Williams still rent guns? I've looked before to see what they had available. Looked again today and don't see any mention of gun rentals on their web site. As far as their used guns, think you could get a new one for about the same price at Guns Galore. They had a Ruger SR9 for $399, I paid $419 for mine. If they were $100 less okay but for $20 I'll go for a new one.

EDIT: Just checked Peacemakers in Howell. They use to list the guns available for rental. Not anymore, just says they rent them. Not that I care. I want to look at the Ruger LC9S and the S&W M&P Shield. Whichever one feels best in my hand. Was going to get one last fall to take to FL but after we canceled that trip I kind of forgot about it.
