Wednesday was great, then this heat and humidity reared its ugly head again. Supposed to be 90 here tomorrow.

45 now and 70 supposed to be. It is going to rain again. We are spiraling helplessly into winter.

I was doing paint chip touch ups from the damn hood hinge again. Looking good you can see it anymore.

Think on the bright side, your winter is nothing like ours. Rain today and tomorrow and Thursday. Snow up north and we may see a few flakes this week. We cleaned up the leaves and cut the grass yesterday but 90% of the leaves are still in the trees. They'll probably come down when the snow flakes come down.

No rain in the last couple of weeks, midday high around 60's and lows around 30°.

We are supposed to have snow in a week or so. flurries that melt and are gone in a hour stuff. That is the beginning tho.

I am waiting on my catalog. I waxed inside and out ran the sweeper in the car. I am ready to get this show on the road interior time. Quicker i get the catalog the quicker I do the order and get it on the way to me.

My buddy gave me a card to the engne machine shop guy I am going to use. He used him for his chevelle. That white 72 is back to life now.

Guy does nothing but build drag engines and being a hillbilly like me. There are tractor pulls. He builds 496's for them. He says his 496's see 8500 rpm within seconds of starting. He thinks it be just fine in my chevelle. He likes my deal I bring the block he does the rest. Here you go son I dare you try to break it.

I think i like him already. I gonna try to stay under 7 so it have a safety margin. It is a street car for Pete's sake I dont need that kind of cam.

Boat is put up for winter. It is chevelle time.

Sounds like you are going to have a wicked engine in that Chevelle! Are you going to try and "break" it?

I always had nasty chevelles. And camaros. Just not this nice looking. More the patina type before that was in style. It was because I was broke. Spent to much on the motor.

No I just want to be able to snap it sideways on the freeway and play with the hellcats. To me that is what a chevelle was about. I am not a numbers matching guy obviously. When you blow by that fast who can see them anyway,

Honestly I am older I gonna be reasonably sane. No Dukes of Hazzard Stuff going on. You know just take off a little whoops sideways every now and again. And got the balls to back its play unless you got a serious drag car.

Go to the Philmores(Ice cream stand literally) on cruise night. It is just the way this batch of hillbillies are. We all rode dirt bikes in the woods together when we were kids. Now we are all psychotic car nuts. It will be exactly like the rest of the cars there. Look decent and run decent. By our neck of the woods hillbilly standards.

Cops sit side by side in the lot next door and babysit us. Make sure no body gets to frisky LOL.

Go there meet your buddies. Sit in your chairs. Drink sodas and shoot the bull about old times.

Went by the other day. LOL there was a big block 87 impala or caprice. Factory color scheme and interior. Quiet pipes. Wheel tubs and steam roller tires.

This stuff been going on since I can remember. we used to ride out bikes up to watch the street races. It was called the Friches 500 back then. Then it went to the white castles. Then McDonalds on dream street. Hot Rod Magazine did a article about that and Waltons mountain. Now it is meeting at philmores.

It is just the heritage of the part of town I grew up in. It has been a while i miss home. I literally grew up in a house 100 yards from the place. I used to mop floors after they closed as a first job. It was Reeves then but still a Ice Cream stand.
