Thank guys. I appreciate the welcome.

I was driving down a SC back road on the way to my nieces birthday party and she was sitting on the side of the road.

I wasn't really looking but it was just one of those moments.....the sun was shining on the car and I swear it looked like it had one of those halos around it with music going off in my head. I had my family in the car and did not stop on the way there. However, on the way back I had to stop.....the rest is history.

She's a 72 137D. Best I can tell, she was an original SS mediterranian blue. F-41 suspension, original SS dash, 12 bolt rear, glove box light, etc.. Original motor code is J for 350 4 barrel but she now has a 396/402 built motor out of a 68 impala (origination not verified) with a turbo 400 trans. Original owner swears he thinks the th400 is original to the car but I'm having a hard time believing that one.

She's not in perfect condition, but it gives me a lot of things to work on with the kids. Looking forward to going to some car shows and spending time with the family.

My 2 year old son has already claimed "the car with the stripes is mine".

Agian, thanks for the welcome and I hope to pick up a lot of good information from this site.

Welcome mill540...

Nice car, nice color. Grumpy wanted me to paint mine red, he didn't get his way. Guess that's why we call him Grumpy !!

Welcome and nice ride! Had I kept my rallies, I would have swapped the Mexican hats for the older style center caps like you have. They look sweet on the 70-72s.
