We've had about fifteen inches of rain. I think an inch of rain equals a foot of snow.

Changed my name over here, not really even sure why, I may just have to have Grumpy change it back so people recognize who it is.

Bummer about the garage, I can relate. Every year in spring my shop floods from the snow melt because the concrete pitches right to the garage and up against the door which allows it to seep by. I've already taken out over 200 gallons of water in a morning from an overnight melt and rain. Tore out all the concrete this year and repoured everything with all of it pitched correctly now, so I am praying I eliminated the problem or at least slowed it downa whole lot.

In order to keep the water out of mine, I'd need a wicked intricate drainage system and about two feet of concrete poured over the top of it. The water table is so high that any significant rainfall causes surface flooding. Just the other day I was watching water flow OUT of the storm drains onto the streets in my neighborhood.

I can't imagine 15" of rain, like I said 1" in 24 hrs is a lot for us. I'm lucky though, my driveway slopes away from the garage, then the ground drops another 4'. The back of my yard is close to 5' lower than around the house and keeps going down from there into the neighbors yard. No drainage problems here.
