I have a neighbor who has got to be pushing 90. Last summer he saw me driving down the street and told me that he thought I was driving my car like an old lady (this was right after the new trans). So before I put the car away for the winter I drove up to his house and laid down some really nice tracks. Next time he saw me he had a big smile on his face and told me that he knew I had it in me.

I took a cop buddy for a spin in the Nomad a few days ago. A really good ride. When we got back home, I LIT that thing up!. He had never been in a car when it did a 6 grand hole-shot. Mighta scared him a little when the Mad went all sideways.

When I come down the street in one of the cars, all the kids that are out playing RUN to my driveway. They always get a smoke show.

It use to be 5,500 hole-shots. Guess you upped it a little since you put that Moser rear in it.

That last burn out I tried to do on the street I shot the driveshaft out the back of the car. (that was a little embarrassing.) I don't rev it up and dump the clutch anymore. Luckily, I don't have to. I just let the clutch out easy now, get 'im rolling, then hammer on it. The back wheels spin up just fine. ...and without all the shock to the driveline. Gotta love the torque of a big block!

That was the long answer. The short answer is YES! I still lay some down from time to time!

I still do some, but not as many now that I buy expensive tires.
