Default Black Car blues....

So I have been searching for the Liquid Ice detailing spray that works great on a black car, and I found it locally today. So I washed the Chevelle, then I wiped it down with the detailing spray and immediately started it and was putting it into the garage.

About the same time my neighbor decided that he was going to use his blower to blow all his grass clippings out into the street.

Guess where they landed? ALL OVER MY CLEAN BLACK CAR.

So much for covering it, I have to start all over again. I won't have time till Saturday. What a bummer !!

On the bright side, I love the Liquid Ice detailing spray. It is not greasy, goes on great and doesn't leave smears.

I think I would get my blower out and blow them back into his yard. Got to love people and thier blowers. I think we have blower wars here, my neighbor blows his leaves over to my side of the street so I blow them back. I have never heard of the liquid ice detailing spray, I'm going to have to check it out.

It is not the one made by Turtle wax. It is called a "Clean Up/Detailer Spray" and it is made by Norton.

Here is a link to a page that tells you about their products. If you scroll about 1/2 way down you will see the spray.

I think that I have the Meguiar's, but I don't think that I have used it. The Norton came highly recommeded by someone who works in a body shop and they love the way it worked on black cars in particular.

I have always wanted to adopt. And I bet that grumpy would not object to adopting this one.

I think your going to find that's a common occurence with owning a black car. Most of the time I don't even wipe it off until after I get to where I'm going. The California Duster is your friend. The MG quik detailer is OK for removing bug guts after a drive but the ulimate is ultra hand glaze #2 from car polishes.com. Which reminds me I need to order another bottle

I forget who makes it, but I have a detail spray called nanowax. It is the best I've used.
