Default Yet another issue I found....and a question

While jacking up the rear of the car two nights ago, the right rear coil spring shifted 3 inches on the top side. While investigating, we found that we could move both springs out of the proper position with just the slightest tug, while the rear was hanging. Now, I am no expert but I'm guessing that this in not normal? This is a good sign that they are worn out?
