Default New Chevelle owner.. 71 SS

I woke up this morning and bought my first Chevelle. I am 23 years old and a student at The University of Florida. I just bought a 1971 Chevelle SS with a 454.
The engine was brand new, exterior and paint perfect but needs an entire interior restoration. Me and my buddies up in Jacksonville, FL are going to be doing all the work. If anyone has any (interior) suggestions or places where I can buy interior parts please let me know I am very interested!

I will put up photos this weekend -J

If you need hands on help you might join North Florida Chevelle Club as some of their members are in Jacksonville . I am a long distance member of their club even though I dont get to participate with them on a normal basis .

Congrats on your new purchase and welcome to the site.

There are many great sources for chevelle parts. I mostly used NPD, since they are local to me. I think they have a warehouse down your way.

Welcome and congrats on the Chevelle. I replaced my interior last year. I picked up a complete package on Ebay. Headliner, side panels, seat covers, arm rests and carpeting. The upholstery is PUI, carpet from Trim Parts. A lot of people prefer Legendary upholstery. I'm pleased with mine but you need to look at a few cars with both and see if you want to spend the extra $ for Legendary. Legendary is a good quality but it does cost more.

Hi Noworries, welcome! Yes,I remember no worries when I was your age. If you are going to keep your car,buy the best even if you can't afford it.You won't regret it.

Welcome to the site and congrats on your purchase. You have several options for interiors as mention above. I used Destinctive Enterprises and the door panels were sent to Ted Williams Enterprizes who assembles them. They also painted all the trim pieces to match the interior. The fit is good on the panels. The price is more then OPI and less then Legendary price
