Question Rear view mirror bracket?

I'm starting to gather up my headliner and associated parts to install on the inside of the roof when doing the headliner. I dont seem to have a rearview mirror. And I think I need a bracket for it as well? Is there a bracket for the rearveiw on a 72? Or is it one of those that glues to the windshield?
Also a picture of the front area of the headliner, sunshades , mirror and trim would be awesome. Its a 1972

My 72 Elcamino and my 72 Malibu vert both have a bracket that goes on the edge of the inside roofline .I would guess the El Camino and the hardtop would be the same but I think I remember the vert being shorter. Call on James Hinshaw as he may have a good used one ,dont know if they are reproduced.

Find out if a 68 mirror and bracket will work and I will check my parts car to see if I have one .

My rearview mirror bracket is mounted on the edge of the roof line. We wanted to replace it, but was not able to find an aftermarket one. Good luck with the parts.

Do you need the bracket with the mirror post attached to it?
