So is you truck being recalled ?
I know that many of us own a diverse collection of vehicles. So I wondered if anyone owned one of the 1997-2003 Ford Pick-ups that were being recalled because of the gas tank strap. And the possibility of the tank falling off. Just want to make sure everyone is safe.

Me neither, but I still got a kick out of the fact that the metal straps rust (duh) in the states that use salt on the roads (duh). I know that I have had to replace the straps on cars that I have owned before. Lucky is the guy who gets the new straps on his 1997 truck.

My 72 Chevy truck could use a recall as it has its share of rust .Hopefully in the near future it will be rust free and back home in one piece .It currently has parts and pieces scattered from my shop to my living room ,my up stairs bedroom and in piles in the bodyshop.
