Thumbs up No more crutches!

Well the ortho Dr said I could dump the crutches. All I have to do now is learn how to walk again. No pain from the fractures but both hips ache like crazy, stiff. I look like an 80 year old man walking. Just need to loosen them up I guess. I'm surprised my right one is stiff since I've been using that leg all along. Oh well, it's a start, just have to slowly work at.

Hey, I was thinking of you yesterday. I had to trim up some trees with the chainsaw...well grabbed the extension ladder and up I went. I was up about 20 feet and the ladder slide to the side. I hade to drop the saw and hang onto the tree for as long as I could and jump the rest of the way only about 8 feet. As I'm sitting on my ass on the ground all I kept thinking was damn I could have ended up like Hank. But I was lucky and didn't get hurt.

Good news Hank. Are you working with a therapist to get you moving again?

Ray-you're damn lucky you didn't kill yourself. Be careful!

One of these day's I'll get it out of my head that I'm not in my twenties anymore and hire someone to do these crazy things.

Hank, you always walk like you're 80. Drive... like your 18

I'll come over and line up some beers down the driveway. That will get your butt moving.

Ha! Couldn't help it. I keep thinking of the Saturday Night Live skit with Alex Trebek and Sean Connery. Category was Therapist but of course Sean said I'll take The rapist for $500.

Can't believe how hard it is to try to walk normal, both sides are so stiff and sore. I can see why the left one is but the right has been holding my full weight the whole time. Whatever, better than crutches that's for sure.
