Talking Hellw from Idaho!

Hubby and I are the proud owners of a 1964 Chevelle 2 dr Sport Coupe.

The story behind her is this:

Husbands 50th birthday was impending....I asked him what his all time fav car is and wa la! The idea was born in my head to find the coveted 1st year Chevelle on Craigslist that was in Idaho and not Egypt!
2 weeks of searching and finally one showed up in Eastern Idaho for $12,000.
We looked over the pics and talked to the kid really well before taking out a credit union loan (since paid off with a Re-Fi on the house) and driving across the state.

We got there and looked it over more, pointing out the things that were not so good but taking notice that not one piece of rust was in the usual places. (You all know those I'm sure!).

Talked him down to $10,700, counted the cash, jumped in and drove it to a church parking lot to load on the car trailer before he changed his mind!
2 months later hubby had his 50th party and he was all smiles!
I love seeing him that happy!
This is how she looks today:

Few more things in the works for her but that is another story........

Great story, Welome to the site. I purchased my Chevelle on my 50th birthday. My hope is I get to drive it this year on my birthday for the first time in 6 years.

Thank you. You hit the nail on the head as far as the site. It is only as good as the people who are on it. And we have some of the best people here, both of you included.
