Default New to this site

Hey, I just joined this forum. I recently purchased a 67 Chevelle. I had several Chevelles when I was younger but it's been a while. Kids are just about grown so I decided it was time to get back to it. I just put my motor in it this weekend (468 BBC).

Welcome Kaboo. So what kind of Chevelles did you have. We like hearing about all the fun we had when younger. Can't wait to hear about your current car too. Me, I have a 1972.

My first car was a 72 Chevelle. My dad gave it to me but I never got it running. I was only about 14. In high school I had a 75, not the most popular body style but it had a small block 400. My last Chevelle was a 69 SS 396. I sold it in 1988 when I got married. My current Chevelle is the 67 SS Clone. I bought the car with no motor, trans. or interior. I had a 468 Big Block built which me and my son installed last weekend. Lots of work to do but I am looking forward to it. Here is a picture of when I brought it home.

Welcome. I bought my 70 a little over 8 years ago and my son helped with putting it back together. It was in pieces when I bought it.

Great to hear a father and son building a car together. My son is 21 and has never had an interest in cars until now. This is our first project together. Should be a lot of fun.

I totally agree ! When I first got my car almost 15 years ago, my 3 older children helped put my car together. Since we redid my car about 3 years ago, my son Jacob who is 13, is always asking to go with me where ever I go in my car. He even traveled with me to Chevellabration this year and had the time of his life when flash and the Mrs. gave him a ride in their convertible 72 Malibu. It is great sharing all of this with my 6 kids. The only problem is, they all want the car.
